KYLA LITTLE
I’m an artist working in the entertainment industry who somehow managed to turn a love of costumes into a career that’s taken me all over the world. For me, costume design is about more than fabric and construction—it’s about people. A good costume starts with understanding a character from the inside out, and that takes empathy, curiosity, and a willingness to step into someone else’s world (sometimes literally into their shoes).
Over the past decade, I’ve worked across theatre, film, commercials, dance, cruise ships, and resort shows, taking costumes from early ideas all the way through construction, fittings, alterations, and performance. I’ve collaborated with global entertainment companies like Blackburn International and Talent Artistic Group, often in fast-paced environments where flexibility, teamwork, and problem-solving are just part of the job.
I hold an MFA in Costume Design and Technology from the University of South Carolina, along with a BA in General Theatre from Western Carolina University and a minor in International Business from the University of South Wales. That mix of creative training and practical thinking shapes how I work—I care about the art, but I also care about making sure things function, fit, and hold up in the real world.
I recently moved back to the United States after spending two years living and working in England. Living abroad and traveling extensively has changed how I see clothing—as culture, storytelling, and identity all rolled into one. I carry that global perspective into every project I take on.
